This is basically my life, in photos.
1. Blue Sky.
I do a lot of driving. It’s anywhere from an hour to two hours to drive from where I am in Rancho Santa Margarita, to North LA. One day, I decided to take a picture of some clouds. I was surprised to see that the picture actually turned out semi-decent, and the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. So, here it is, enjoy.
2. Roses.
Almost every day I take the time to smell the roses. Literally. It’s changed my life. I walk for a half hour to an hour usually, in random neighborhoods. I found this house with an amazing rose garden in the front yard, and had to take a picture. I wish you all could smell it, it was like perfume, but better. If there was one thing I could tell you to do to change your life for the better, it would be to walk.
3. Miso Soup.
Lately, this has been my main comfort food. Miso Soup with noodles and tofu. Sometimes I add rice, onions and seaweed. An easy way to get Miso Soup is to get Anni Chun’s Miso Soup bowl, and then just add diced tofu. I can’t get enough, and it’s so healthy. For fruit, my aunt has been making this cinnamon yogurt dipping sauce, with apples. I’m pretty sure it’s just plain yogurt, cinnamon, and apples. It’s divine.
4. Japan Box.
I get my tips in one dollar bills and rolls of coins. I decided I’m not going to spend my tips, and instead, stick them in this box. In two years, I should have enough money to fly to Japan, where my brother will be living. I might decorate the box in all things Japan, and make it a sort of “wish box”, and maybe I’ll make a list of all the things I will do when I’m there. When I spend all day working, it’s nice to think about these things.
