My Current Obsessions

I dug through my purse, and found my three favorite items.

1. One teeny tiny bottle of Daisy by Marc Jacobs

This is one of my favorite perfumes right now. I like it because it smells good. It’s that simple. It’s not overpowering, it doesn’t set off allergy attacks, and it doesn’t smell like baby powder. Sometimes before I get out of the car to go meet up with some people, I put a small amount on. Let’s be honest, though. My favorite part of this perfume is the bottle. It’s the perfect balance of cute and classy that I love.

2. Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker by Bonne Belle.

It smells good, it tastes good, and it makes me feel like I’m at a family barbeque with a cold can of Dr. Pepper in my hand. It’s not the most practical chapstick, (it doesn’t work that well…) so I use the real stuff before I go to bed at night, and the Dr. Pepper during the day.

3. Keychain.

I got this keychain at Hume Lake’s summer camp when I had just turned 14, which makes this metal heart almost 12 years old. It’s worn down and illegible now, but I know it by heart. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
